Minister for Works (R&B), Mr Naeem Akhtar informed the Legislative Assembly that the work on the three bridges in Nobra constituency, sanctioned under NABARD RIDF XV, is in progress.
Replying to a question by Deldan Namgail, the Minister said that said that during last three financial years Rs 7.98 crore has been released against the sanctioned project cost of Rs 34.73 crore.
Responding to supplementary part, the Minister said the proposal for considering these bridges under RIDF XVIII in view of cost escalation is not possible as according to the Finance Department tranche XV has been closed on June 30, 2017 and now no further funding is admissible from NABARD under the said tranche.
The Minister also gave details of projects submitted to Planning Development & Monitoring Department for NABARD funding under RIDF-XXIII (2017-18) which included construction of L/R from Famjila to Ursi-Hinju (Leh), construction of L/R from Lingshed to Dipling Kilometre 1st to 7th in Phases, construction of road from Diskit to Shatse-Takna Nobra Phase-II, improvement of road from Koyak-Thang to Rongdo Village and construction of link road to Fadathang Tyakshi.(KNO)
